Join us in the Trillium Court Lounge for an intimate evening of stories and songs hosted by Muskoka musician, singer and songwriter, Sean Cotton. This monthly meeting of the musical minds is always an enjoyable experience for the audience and the talent alike. No two evenings are the same. The stories are always fascinating and the music that flows back and forth between the artists is always a delight.
Rhonda Way, a country singer born in Muskoka and a proud Moon River Métis Citizen, is known for her powerful voice and heartfelt storytelling. As a teen, she had the honour of opening for Amy Sky at the Gravenhurst Opera House’s 100th Anniversary, and she is thrilled to return for its 125th. Rhonda has shared stages with Canadian legends including Kim Mitchell, Sass Jordan, and April Wine, and has performed with renowned musicians such as Fritz (Helix), Nate Watts (Stevie Wonder), and Jim Clench (April Wine). She is currently in the studio working on new music for release later this year.
Cam Galloway is known for playing an acoustic energetic variety of different types of music including rock, pop, country, and even some originals too! From Bracebridge, Ontario Cam has been performing on stage one way or another since he was 7 years old. Starting as an actor at a local theatre group he took to stage life and progressed to solo singing during his theatre performances. Cam's parents gave him his first guitar when he was 13 and signed him up for lessons right away. Learning the basics gave him a great foundation to swiftly shift to self-teaching. Cam was learning new songs so rapidly the transition to singing along and solo performing, well, just happened. Cam's hours of practice and learning are evident by his hardened fingertips! Once he decides to learn a new song, he just won't let it go until he comfortably performs and then auditions it for other people. Cam hasn't ruled out playing with a band but for now, he is crushing it playing solo and consistently winning over the crowd.

About the Festival
Muskoka Music Festival (formerly Sawdust City Music Festival) was launched in 2017 as a Not-For-Profit community festival with the mandate to celebrate the past and future of Gravenhurst by bringing world class entertainment to the town. The festival team works tirelessly to find funding to ensure the concerts are affordable for all and to represent the Canada we are proud of on our stages and on our board. Since its inception, the festival has welcomed over 150 diverse artists and bands to Gravenhurst - both new discoveries and familiar favourites. The festival encourages locals and visitors to discover and take advantage of the many wonderful stores and restaurants in historic downtown Gravenhurst.
Festival Founder and Artistic Director, Miranda Mulholland is a JUNO nominated artist and world renowned advocate for creator’s rights. From day one, the festival has been female led and artist-friendly. Miranda has deep roots in Muskoka. Her Great-Great Grandfather was Charles Mickle, who owned the sawmill that gave the town the nickname “Sawdust City” and had the Opera House built when he was Mayor of Gravenhurst. He believed that the Arts bring people together and Miranda is carrying on this legacy.
Serena Ryder
Toronto-based vocal powerhouse Serena Ryder is a platinum-selling artist adored by fans, peers and critics alike, in part due to her raw and earnest songwriting, and beautifully electric live performances. She has won seven prestigious JUNO Awards, including the 2022 Adult Contemporary Album of the Year for her record The Art of Falling Apart, which invites listeners to join her mental wellness journey and helps us understand the importance of sitting with the uncomfortable moments and the wisdom in their messages.
Serena has a unique ability to cross genres – from pop, to folk and roots, to Christmas and children’s music. Her diverse catalogue has earned her several accolades, including Canada’s Walk of Fame Allan Slaight Music Impact Honour, the Margaret Trudeau Mental Health Advocacy Award, a Canada Folk Music Award and Canadian Screen Award for Achievement in Music–Original Song.
Serena is a mental-wellness advocate who has shared her own story of depression and neuro-divergency publicly, and speaks across the country to thousands of people each year. Her song “What I Wouldn’t Do” was reimagined for Kids Help Phone’s Feel Out Loud 2023 campaign — the largest mental health campaign in Canadian history. Serena also works with emerging musicians and industry professionals through her ArtHaus Community non profit, helping them develop creative, entrepreneurial and wellness skills needed to thrive in today’s music and media landscape.
Mimi O'Bonaswin
(Pronounced: MEE-MEE O-BON-SA-WIN) is a contemporary roots singer-songwriter born in Northeastern Ontario. She is French Canadian & W8banaki (Abénaki), a member of the Odanak First Nation. Through her rhythm and story-driven songs, Mimi’s music embraces the beauty of the land. The ethereal quality of her sound whisks you away with uplifting melodies and introspective lyrics, weaving pop sensibilities with acoustic instrumentation. Layers of percussion and unexpected harmonies make you feel the music rather than just hear it.
As both artist and gardener, Mimi draws a deep connection between the two practices: “Making music and growing food are very much the same. They both start with a seed and, with proper care, can grow into a beautiful garden that we all can share.”
In May 2025, Mimi was awarded Solo Artist of the Year at the Trille Or Awards and toured Australia, performing at the Woodford and Cygnet Folk Festivals. She is currently working on her next album while preparing for a cross-Canada tour.
Mimi performs as a duo with her husband, Ryan Schurman, on drums and percussion, creating an intimate yet uplifting experience. Together, they invite audiences into their universe with a full-band sound that inspires dancing, singing, and joy. Reaching new audiences at home and abroad, Mimi stays true to this: “Music is medicine… it is something we all share. It is our garden.”
